This relatively large species can grow more than 120 mm long and shows a considerable range in color. The Variable Neon slug is a large dark-bodied nudibranch which may have green stripes running down the length of the body and has raised green spots. They feed on ascidians and have even been observed feeding on the green-ringed ascidian
